Diamond Stone & Caesarstone Polish

HOW TO USE

Stone Polish for Caesarstone polishing.

If your stone benchtop is Caesarstone, how to polish Caesarstone is slightly different to any other quartz brand. Caesarstone gloss level can be upto 50% lower than other brands like Technistone, Silestone, Smartstone, Quantum Quartz, Quantra etc. Hence polishing the shine or polish back on caesarstone will take less time. In the Diamond Quartz Stone Polish instructional video the stone is a Caesarstone product. The shine or polish is generally between 36gu and 42gu (gloss units measured at 60^o).

1. Indentify the damaged area by viewing from different angles and light.
2. Circle the damaged area leaving a 10mm gap between the line and the damaged area (use a 2b pencil on lighter colour & Tipex or similar on darker colours).
3. Shake the Diamond Quartz Stone polish well for 2 minutes, making sure the lid and gasket are firmly in place and tight.
4. Observe best practice for OH&S, we highly recommend only continuing when protective gloves and safety glasses are used for personal protection.
5. Apply a dab of Diamond Quartz Stone Polish using the supplied applicator to the circled damaged area
6. If you have more than one area, apply the Diamond Quartz Stone Polish to all marked areas.
7. Allow the Diamond Quartz Stone Polish to stand for 2 minutes.
8. Working only one area at a time, apply medium pressure to the supplied applicator pad while making small circles in the area marked.
9. Continue to work the complete area to the marked line or 5mm past while continuing to polish in circles with medium pressure.
10. When a thin transparent film appears in the marked area, stop
11. Add 1/4 the amount of water to the amount of Diamond Quartz Polish that was applied in the first instance.
12. Contiune to polish using the supplied applicator in a circular motion with medium pressue in the marked damage area until all polish residue is not visible.
13. Once all polish residue has been activated into the surface there will be no residue left in the marked area.
14. Clean with Stone Power Cleaner and wipe the area with a nanoTECH cloth.
15. Inspect the marked area for gloss levels as the damage to the surface polish now should be removed.
16. Be sure to inspect the surface from a few angles to ensure correct restoration of the polish and shine.
17. Repeat steps 4-16 until the polish is returned to the desired level.

Stone & Quartz Polish

For all other brands of stone benchtop such as Technistone, Silestone*, Quantum Quartz, Smartstone, Essastone** or any other brand of quartz simply follow the above instruction. A reapplication of the Diamond Quartz Stone Polish will be needed plus the addition of the following instructions due to the higher gloss from the factory on these quartz brands.

1. Once a second application of Diamond Quartz Stone Polish has been applied and polished as per the above instruction continue to the below steps
2. Apply 2-3 drops of water to the damaged area.
3. Polish in a circluar motion wth medium pressure graduating to light once a dry film is achieved.
4. Continue to polish in a circluar motion with light pressure until the polish residue is completely removed from the damaged area.
5. Repeat steps 2-4
6. Clean with Stone Power Cleaner and wipe clean with a clean nanoTECH cloth
7. Inspect marked damaged polish area to validate polish finish has returned.
8. Check from several angles and light conditions.
9. Repeat steps 2-4 until gloss level and polish is achieved.

Professional Use Hints

• Fingerprints & Streaks are a major issues on stone surfaces that have not been cleaned correctly. 99% of all granite or marble cleaners have a form of oil contained in the  product to enhance the look of granite and hide scratches. These products on any quartz surface causes them to dull, streak and show fingerprints. Stone Power Cleaner will remove all contaminates from the surface including germs leaving a surface that will not fingerprint or streak. Note: You will need to clean the surface daily to remove grime, grease etc.

• Matte, honed and suede finishes on products like Caesarstone Concrete, Silestone suede ranges and any other brand of quartz or stone requires no more maintanence if Stone Power Cleaner is used on a daily basis to wipe down the stone benchtops.
