Quartz Refresh - Yellow stain remover for stone benchtops.

HOW TO USE

General Yellowing or Yellow Stains

1. Lighty spary an area to be cleaned with Stone Power Cleaner.
2. Allow to stand for 20 secs.
3. Wipe off with a clean cloth.
4. Determine the area to be treated - 1 full bottle will treat - 1 kitchen*
5. In a suitable mixing container (plastic), mix 1 part of the main bottle with 1 part of the blue powder.  If you are only treating a smaller area, mix 1/4 of the main bottle with 1/4 of the blue powder.
6. Once mixed the gel will turn light blue.
7. Always use gloves when applying Quartz Refresh, it will remove the natural oils from your hands and may cause a slight sensation to the contacted area of skin.
8. Apply the gel evenly across the treated area using the supplied applicator. Leaving a 2mm thickness of gel to the treated stone surface. It should look like the third photo above.
9. Once satisfactory even coverage is achieved we recommend that cling film be applied to the treated surface to reduce accidental contact with the gel.
10. After 1 - 2 hours check the coverage of Quartz Refresh to the treated area and reapply or even out the gel coat.
11. After 2 hours there should be a very noticable different and return of the original colour to the treated area, as per photo four above.
12. After between 2 - 24 hours remove cling film and using a damp microfiber cloth or similar remove any excess Quartz Refresh from the surface.
13. Repeat step 12 until all Quartz Refresh is removed, rinsing the microfiber used may be necessary.
14. With a damp, clean microfiber wipe the area that is now clean and all Quartz Refresh removed.
15. Lightly Spray with Stone Power Cleaner and wipe in a figure "8" pattern as a final clean.

Stain Removal

Refer to our Care & Cleaning Essentials for Stone & Quartz. It will help you resolve any issues with any stain refer to pages 14-17.

General Stain Removal

1. Lighty spray an area to be cleaned with Stone Power Cleaner.
2. Allow the sprayed area to stand for 30 seconds to help lift stains, grime & germs.
3. Fold a clean nanoTECH cleaning cloth into quarters.
4. Wipe the area in a figure "8" pattern to remove all the Stone Power Cleaner.
5. If the stain has been full removed, flip the nanTech cloth and buff to a streak & germ free shine,
6. If the stain remains refer to the care & cleaning essenitals for stone and quartz.
7. Repeat steps 1 and two with the addition of two drops of Stone Spot & Stain Remover and allow to stand for 30 seccond to 2 minutes.
8. Repeat steps 1 to 5 if the stain partly remains.

NOTE: some stains are not actually stain and are actual damage to the stone surface. Refer to our Care & Cleaning Essential on page 5 for further details.
Matte, suede or honed finishes are no harder to look after than a polished surface with the use stone bencthop cleaner products.

Professional Use Hints

If you have been using other cleaning products, it may take a few application of our Stone Power Cleaner to remove all the contaminants from the surface of your stone benchtops. This is due to fact most off the shelf cleaners contain sodium salt (caustic sodium hydroxide) and/or detergents. Hence these ingredients are caustic (high pH) and contain soaps that leave a film over the stone surface. Sodium salts, because of their caustic nature, are hard to remove once embedded into the stone surface. These types of ingredients common in most off the shelf cleaners will dull the surface or will result in discolouration and yellowing overtime.

• Brownish stains are generally rust stains from stainless steel utensil holders or sink drainers placed on the stone*. These may get wet and the steel starts to rust because of oxidation from the high pH and caustic nature of most dishwashing liquids. These liquids help penetrate the stain into the surface making it almost impossible to remove with off the shelf cleaning products. Removing these stains is easy with the use our Spot & Stain Remover.

1. Lighty spary the stain with Stone Power Cleaner.
2. Add two drops of Gloss Renew mix with the Stone Power Cleaner.
3. Allow to stand for 2 minutes.
4. Using the nanoTECH applicator in a figure "8" motion. Gently rub the mixture until it has disappeared.
5. If the stain has lightened or mostly be removed repeat steps 1 to 4 until stain is removed.

*NOTE: If you have a brownish circle or part of a circle stain that has not been removed by the above steps, it most likely is burn damage not a stain. A specialised professional repair will be needed from one of the only companies that are able to repair such damage - Stone Guys.

• Fingerprints & Streaks are a major issues on stone surfaces that have not been cleaned correctly. 99% of all granite or marble cleaners have a form of oil contained in the  product to enhance the look of granite and hide scratches. These products on any quartz surface causes them to dull, streak and show fingerprints. Stone Power Cleaner will remove all contaminates from the surface including germs leaving a surface that will not fingerprint or streak. Note: You will need to clean the surface daily to remove grime, grease etc.

• Matte, honed and suede finishes on products like Caesarstone Concrete, Silestone suede ranges and any other brand of quartz or stone requires no more maintanence if Stone Power Cleaner is used on a daily basis to wipe down the stone benchtops.
